Internal Linking Strategy 2019 | Get most out of Internal Linking

Interlinking properly: interlinking has huge effect, though have already mentioned above, but then you didn't have the overall picture, which is necessary for interlinking.

You have to create a strategy on which pages should get more internal linking from strong pages than others.

‌1. How important a page is for the website (0-5), anything 0, try to delete that, if deleting not possible then don't bother, maybe don't coun't. Mind it contact page, privacy policy, tnc is not those 0 value pages, maybe give 1, as you don't want to build link on those, except those site wife footer links.
‌2. Give each page an authority ratings, you ofcourse use moz PA, but I would recommend for manual ratings because for small websites it might not have data to judge them properly. For larger websites it is not possible though. Give again (0-5). Instead of directly using the metrics available in tools, want you to see the metric, but use your own interpretation to give ratings. This should based on how good the content is, how the user engagement was, how many backlinks it received. I will give the number of session, and other user engagement metrics the highest priority, while judging a page.

So, now you have two types of ratings, so a page having more value ratings should receive more links from better second type ratings pages.

That will give the more important pages stronger internal link. Then it will get more attention from existing reader, who are already reading other articles in your website, help rank those pages ranki

Use mix of manual and those metrix, sometimes you will not have good reasons, or some pages might be not useful for, maybe completely unique topic you just came out that nobody is searching for, but you want more people to read it. Give more internal links, have it prominently on the sidebar, also use other methods, like social media, email marketing, or just ask your friends to read and share it.
